LASER CUTTING
Laser cutting is a processing method that uses a high-power laser beam to cut the workpiece. The laser beam irradiates the surface of the workpiece to make the workpiece reach the melting point or boiling point. At the same time, the high-pressure gas coaxial with the beam blows away the molten or vaporized metal. We mainly produce the end plates and spacer laminations of the iron core by laser cutting
We do not recommend using the laser cutting process for mass production of motor laminations. The lamination produced by the laser cutting machine seems to meet the requirements, and there is no burr on the edge. But when these laminations are assembled into an iron core, the overall size of the iron core is not as expected, because the extremely small tolerances of each part of each lamination are accumulating.
The cost of the die can be saved when a small amount of lamination is produced by the laser cutting, but if it is mass production, the die stamping technique has more advantages in production efficiency and quality.
