Centrifugal rotors are most commonly divided into angle rotors and horizontal rotors:

1. What is an angle rotor:

The angle rotor is the abbreviation of the fixed angle rotor. The angle θ between the centrifuge tube filled with the solution and the rotating shaft of the centrifuge is formed when the centrifuge rotor is manufactured. The angle cannot be changed. The angle between the centrifuge tube and the rotating shaft is generally 14°-45. Between °, the position of the centrifuge tube is fixed during the centrifugation process, and the sample is redirected. The smaller the angle between the centrifuge tube and the shaft, the greater the degree of reorientation and the higher the efficiency of centrifugation.

2. What is the horizontal rotor:

The horizontal rotor is also called the open rotor. The centrifuge tube is placed in the hanging cup. The hanging cup and the rotating shaft are in a vertical parallel state when stationary. When used, the hanging cup must be symmetrically hung on the rotor. When rotating, the cup is subjected to centrifugal force and is moved from a vertical position to a horizontal position.
