Stator winding connection for two-speed motor - Programmer Share

The double star/delta connection motor has six outlet ends. By changing the connection between the six outlet terminals and the power supply, two different speeds can be obtained.

The new symbols for the six terminals of the two-speed motor are: U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2; the corresponding old symbols are: D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6. The stator winding wiring diagram of the double star/delta two-speed motor is shown in Figure 21301.

As can be seen from Fig. 21301, when the motor needs to work at a low speed, the three-phase power sources L1, L2, and L3 are connected to U1, V1, and W1, respectively, and the remaining three outlet ends are vacant. At this time, the motor is connected in a triangle shape, and the magnetic pole is four poles. The actual speed of the motor is about 1450 rpm. When the motor needs high speed operation, the three-phase power supply is connected to the three outlet ends U2, V2 and W2, and the other three. The outlet end is shorted. The magnetic pole is two poles, and the motor speed is about 2900 rpm.
